Dear Sir Gunbard and Miss Yucie,
So far, it's been a week away from home. Feels as though I'm still dreaming. This city called Discedo is more mysterious with each day that passes. It looks deserted at times but there is always chatter over the radio devices. Unfortunately, I'm unable to cast any magic. Not even the weakest of it works. I can't even summon Soraoto for items. The residents here say there is a small device placed under my that is causing the trouble. Living without any magic for a week as been a bit strange. I've never realized, before my arrival here, just how much I relied on magic. I wonder if this is how other non-magical beings feel like. It's quite an experience. As optimistic as I try to stay, I'm having trouble staying that way. The more I learn about this city's history, the more depressing I become. There was even a man here who passed on with unfulfilled aspirations because I could not provide any magical assistance at all.

However, do not worry. Not everything is gloomy here. I've have met quite a deal of friendly people here. Even the unfriendly ones are a bit interesting to talk to... even if most of them appear to have lost their minds. Miss Yucie, you would love to see the bird they have here. They're giant yellow birds called Chocobos that you can ride much like you would a steed. I can imagine you riding on one, ~~if only to fall off.~~ I know you could do it, Miss. Even you, as well, Master! They would be an interesting addition to a carriage, don't you agree?

As much as I wish I were home, I hope you're both getting along well without my assistance. Please pass on my regards to everyone. I really am starting to feel homesick.

Thank you Miss Iji and ~~Miss~~ Utena for all your help with moving the love seat! It really fills the empty space in here, making it more comfortable, to say the least. Thank you so very much!

Um, does anyone know the name of a man who recently passed on? I don't know his name, so I don't know how to explain besides he said he was dying... I want to sends my regards and wishes he rests in peace.

No, I don't. It's alright, I'll just be more careful around it. If I had my chip out, it wouldn't be a problem to heal, though.

Well, back home it's a bit complicated to explain, but here I'm working with the police force.

I can believe that! I mean, I've kind of tried to keep my distance from the demons back home, so I pretty much only see the ones who show up to make trouble. It's a biased sample. I bet the human world's a lot easier on the nerves - and it sounds like a really nice part of it that you live in.

Does the chip make us heal slower or have you always been faster at healing then most?

You could say I was a faster healer than most people without my chip. It's an ability of mine!

You're working for the police? That's great~! I was so relieved to hear there was police force and other officials with laws... specially with all the... well... not-so-sane people around...

Both worlds have their good and bad, like all worlds. Although, yes. Where I live is normally very peaceful, but we get the random "strange happenings" and attacks too.
What are the demons like in your world? I'm just curious. I mean, depending on how Satan-sama feels, it can be just about anything in my world. He's not all bad if you got to know him... which most never do. Because hes the King of the Underworld... Even though Princess Glenda is a bit scarier most times. It's a strange place compared tot he human world, I suppose...

That must come in handy quite often! I wish I could heal faster without any magic involved! I don't mean to be rude, but what other abilities did you have, if it's alright to ask? It's interesting to me.

It is very handy. Especially on the battlefield!

It's no problem, you can ask me anything you like. Well, I could make a temporary shield and I could power myself up for a short time. I could use fire, ice and a wind attack too. It's how I fought very tough enemies. Did you have magic too, Cube?

Yeah, it's nice that there's so much organization here. Honestly, I'm not the most... effective of the officers, but I'm glad there's something I can do to help people out here.

Well... like I said, the demons I've seen were the nasty kind. Possession, murder, sealing contracts with kids' lives, and so on....

Your magic sounds so useful and nice! Powering up sounds pretty interesting... I know some magic, only a few attacks but mostly defense and Magic items. I can levitate and move things but mostly I just summon Soraoto for help with magic items. I can even change my clothes sometimes, if I felt like it, although it is only temporary.

Well, I could.... I sometimes forget I can't do that here...

You're probably a lot more efficient and helpful then you give yourself credit for. I wonder what I should be doing to help...

You'd be surprised. A lot of the people here have been very helpful and decent to me too. Though there are a few bad eggs... You just have to be careful and keep your wit's about you, as they say.

You're really worried about him, aren't you? Listen... You know how to contact him now, right? See if he's there right now. If not, then he'll be back soon. I know that sounds crazy, but... Death doesn't seem to work the same way here that it would in other worlds.

Oh, no! I can make objects levitate. Not people. Although there is a magic item called Swallow Tail's shoes that enable you to fly once placed upon your feet. It's more of a hovering technique but you can soar pretty high form the ground with them. I wish I could show you...

I believe there is good in everything. It may never be seen but it's there.

Well, the "Demon World" or "Hell" or "Under World," whichever you wish to call it, is all the same place for conjuring terror and inflicting punishment. Although, most times I've come to find the worst things aren't born in hell. Satan-sama is the King who resides there with his daughter, Princess Glenda. Sometimes we joke and say she's more of a demon then Satan-sama. It's quite amusing how tough she is on her father. Even Satan-sama has his good side, although Princess Glenda doesn't appreciate it. However, I digress... just talking about it makes me long to visit there in a peculiar way. [He giggles]

I've started to notice that. I'm quite relieved. This city looks lonely and cold but the people here are quite helpful. I'm very grateful. You see, I was here once before but... only for a day or two. So, I thought it was all a dream. So, I thought besides Mr. Johnny... well I didn't know what to expect. I'm glad you came along though. You're my first friend I've made since returning.

I... Yes. I just feel terrible not being able to help him at all. Even if he didn't die or he comes back. I suppose I was too confident in my magic...

This city kind of seems like a bad dream, doesn't it? At least to someone who isn't used to magical powers and monsters. Like me. At least it let you remember some of the people you've met before that way, right? ...Eh? Me? That's quite an honor!

Yes, it still feels like a bad dream, however a lot of people keep correcting me when I mention that. I know it's not a dream, but that doesn't make it stop feeling like one. Well, I come from a world of magic and I still think this place is sad... it's not like anything I've ever seen... including Hell.

Yeah, I think you're right. I just wish people listened to it more often.

Hm... definitely different, yeah. And I've never been to Hell. It'd end up being, uh... kind of an issue politically.
