Discedo,
Avoid touching the mysterious crystals. At least, until we figure out what they are and if they have ill intentions or effects besides visual and audio display.

So far, my experience with them have not been positive and from seeing other reactions, I have doubts there will any. Please proceed with uppermost cation.

In addition, any ideas as to what these are or what they're here for?

Yes, rotten, filthy mazoku! I have yet to meet one that hasn't been a total pain -- that Xellos is the worst of all!

Besides, not all Mazoku are 'pains.' I've had the pleasure of meeting quite a few myself. Not all black magic s bad, either. It can be quite helpful around the house...
