✪Discedo! 2 years of servitude! ✪ [Text]

It's hard to believe that a little more than two years have gone by since I Arrived here, in Discedo. To think that I'd had just met Doctor Yagokoro and began studying under her a few days from now, two years ago. All the people I've met and all the dangers we've faced in just two years. I can't say they've been the happiest years of my life but they certianly have kept me on my toes. It's almost amusing how quickly I've adapted to this place as my new home. I'm not sure if being a butler helped with that or if it's something else but I'm glad to say I've made a home for myself here and despite what has happened, I'm glad to still be here. I've been given chances here that i never would have been given. Opportunities to learn and grow that even after two hundred years I don't believe I could have come close to what I now know and appreciate.

I sometimes wonder what reason it is to have kept me here for so long in contrast to others. I remember being sent home only to come back as if nothing had changed. I remember worrying over who i was and what would happen to me and, of course, to all those I had to leave behind. Still, I'm glad for whatever reason I'm still here. I'm not without my regrets but I do hope that the next years to come will be just as memorable as the last two.

I suppose so. I know there are few who have been here longer than I, like Shinjiro. Though, most have been sent home. I do wonder if that means I'll be departing soon or not.

Miss Anya Alstreim has requested her chip out. She has stated she wishes to defend herself via Magic and mentioned you were to teach her.

Before I go and have her chip removed, I wish to ask a few questions, mostly relating tot he magic she will be learning. What kind of magic is it you will be teaching her and can you teach it to anyone or only certain people?

[...] It's para-magic. Ain't real magic. It's a way for people to replicate magic by controlling energy though it ain't as strong. I know humans can use it, but I dunno about anyone else.

On your own it's hard to learn and takes a lot of training to be comparable to what real magic can do, she won't be able to cause much trouble with it. As for what kind of magic, dunno, depends on whatever she shows an ability for. Could be restorative, elemental, status or somethin' else.

I've had the pleasure of making some very powerful memories here. Sometimes the sad ones only make those others even more important... like sharing time with someone. It's important to do your best to not forget and enjoy the happier times just as it's important not to forget the sad ones as well. We all learn from our experiences, so they shouldn't be forgotten.

But should we forget, it's alright as well. It simply means it's retreated to somewhere and you can remember something even better.

There was a resident, here, who could communicate with the spirit world. He was under the belief that Discedo had died of disease. The spirits he spoke to or the auras they gave off were that of illness.

I can imagine this is very possible since the nation that invaded us half a year ago were looking for vaccines.

However, January this year... something happened that has lead me to believe it wasn't simple illness that ruined this city. If you look at the way one of the buildings are, you'll see what I mean. I'm not sure if it's related to the illnesses, exactly but Discedo suffered some kind of attack.
