✪ One Week ✪ [Text]
~~☆~~
Dear Sir Gunbard and Miss Yucie,
So far, it's been a week away from home. Feels as though I'm still dreaming. This city called Discedo is more mysterious with each day that passes. It looks deserted at times but there is always chatter over the radio devices. Unfortunately, I'm unable to cast any magic. Not even the weakest of it works. I can't even summon Soraoto for items. The residents here say there is a small device placed under my that is causing the trouble. Living without any magic for a week as been a bit strange. I've never realized, before my arrival here, just how much I relied on magic. I wonder if this is how other non-magical beings feel like. It's quite an experience. As optimistic as I try to stay, I'm having trouble staying that way. The more I learn about this city's history, the more depressing I become. There was even a man here who passed on with unfulfilled aspirations because I could not provide any magical assistance at all.
However, do not worry. Not everything is gloomy here. I've have met quite a deal of friendly people here. Even the unfriendly ones are a bit interesting to talk to... even if most of them appear to have lost their minds. Miss Yucie, you would love to see the bird they have here. They're giant yellow birds called Chocobos that you can ride much like you would a steed. I can imagine you riding on one,if only to fall off. I know you could do it, Miss. Even you, as well, Master! They would be an interesting addition to a carriage, don't you agree?
As much as I wish I were home, I hope you're both getting along well without my assistance. Please pass on my regards to everyone. I really am starting to feel homesick.
Sincerely,
Cube

Good Morning, Discedo!
Thank you Miss Iji andMiss Utena for all your help with moving the love seat! It really fills the empty space in here, making it more comfortable, to say the least. Thank you so very much!
Also, thank you so much Mr. Kanji for bringing over that spindle of thread and needle. I didn't quite use it all, if you'd like me to return the rest. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you sometime.
Mr. Vash, I hope you feel better today. Oh, Miss Gracia, I do hope the walls are a little nicer to you lately. You have me worried. I also hope you're healing well, Mr. Johnny. Please try not to get burned next time you dance.
Um, does anyone know the name of a man who recently passed on? I don't know his name, so I don't know how to explain besides he said he was dying... I want to sends my regards and wishes he rests in peace.

nouvelliste is dead thanks to the brownie madness. Feel free to confuse him further, though. Tags might be slow for a few hours too.))

But thank you for your concern! I'm really very sorry I acted so strangely.
Re: (text)
Oh, don't worry, Miss Gracia. It was rather fun for a while... until you couldn't stand up. But don't worry. I know you're safe now, and that's what matters.
Does this mean you can't really see wind and air?
(text)
And you don't have to keep calling me 'miss'. Just Gracia will do, I don't mind.
I don't think anyone can see wind and air! I wonder what made me say I could see wind and air?

Yes, over the network. We spoke... one of the few people I've found who speak Japanese.

There seem to be plenty of people from Japan here - my partner and I are, too.

...Somebody died? Uh... you know the dead come back to life here, right?
no subject
...
I- I think I remember being told that a while ago but I forgot. I hope it's not painful to come back...

It might me a little rude to ask such a thing...
I'm glad you haven't died, Miss Iji.

Mm! It's no problem. That made for a good workout,
even if it left my arms a little sore after.Eh? Kanji-kun helped you with that stuff? Kinda surprising...
...EH?! Someone else died recently?!
no subject
Yes he did! You know Mr. Kanji? He lent me some sewing materials so I could patch up the seat. He even has let me keep them! He's really kind... he doesn't even wish for anything in return.
I'm not sure if he died, but he may have. He said he was. I'm very worried for him....
no subject
Uh-huh. We've met. I talk to him over the network sometimes. He's not a bad guy to know, and it's great that he could help you out like that.
Uh... He said that he was dying? ...Are you sure that he wasn't just exaggerating, Cube?
no subject
He's very nice. I've very grateful for him and others who are kind here, like you. Although, I know there are plenty who are not...
He told me to pray for him... and ... [He sighs] Perhaps he was. He did ask me to grant him one last wish before he passed and...
[He goes silent]

You'd be surprised. A lot of the people here have been very helpful and decent to me too. Though there are a few bad eggs... You just have to be careful and keep your wit's about you, as they say.
...
You're really worried about him, aren't you? Listen... You know how to contact him now, right? See if he's there right now. If not, then he'll be back soon. I know that sounds crazy, but... Death doesn't seem to work the same way here that it would in other worlds.
