I'm not sure if it's of any interest to anyone but I've come across some interesting notes left here, at the Spero Hospital. Quite a few all speak of the Atropos virus. What's interesting is these notes label it as "incurable." The notes continue to list symptoms but the cause is always pointed towards Discedo, stating that they believe the fish and other imports from Discedo carried the virus but it's uncertain.

It sounds as though this world has dealt with this virus for some time. I'm beginning to wonder what exactly went on and if this sparked a conflict between Discedo and the rest of Fortuna.

Has anyone else found interesting information like this as well? I know I've missed a bit but it might be within our best interests to document everything all together, somehow.

I also have a request for those in Spero. I'm in need of a blood donors. I'm looking for someone to donate as soon as possible, but also any one else I may call on for later, in case of an emergency, would also be also appreciated.

Aside form that, should anyone in Spero need medical attention, please contact me.

If they never found a cure for it, I can't imagine why there would be people. Many things could have resulted in these places being deserted. People could have attempted to leave, death could have caused them all to fall, or something we haven't discovered yet.

At least we know there are some still out there. Like Hollisland. Still, we're very much int he dark.

It's true that there are plenty of possible causes.. Still, it's a little weird for there to be people in other places, but not here. It's understandable if that incurable disease you talked about took care of everyone in Discedo, but the other cities..

I don't believe it was disease only that caused Discedo to fall.

Perhaps war and disease hurried their fates.

If the disease really caused conflict, then a war wouldn't be a strange possibility, yeah. They found people in the east, right?

War would explain how the buildings in Discedo were damaged. [And also the vision he saw.]

Yes, so I've heard. I wish they could answer some questions.

I've talked for a bit to that loud guy-- his name is Denmark, right? He said the people there shot at them whenever they tried to come close.

Hm. I wonder is he had shouted anything to them first.

[Cube has nothing against Denmark but anyone knows he can shout some rude, offensive, or inappropriate things sometimes.]

Someone else speculated that perhaps the isolated people believe we're infected with something... possibly Atropos. it would be a good reason to not let outsiders in but many things are possible.

... To be honest, him doing that wouldn't surprise me. At all. Atropos.. that disease you found things about over there, right? It's possible that they're a leftover of the conflict between Discedo and those places, and they're worried we're regular inhabitants of Discedo or whatever.

Asking him will probably not help, either. However, perhaps someone else should try communicating with them. I wonder if there were some way to send them a signal or something... [Electronically or even morse code or something!]

I'm not so sure of that. When Miss Q arrived, she was rather shocked to see anyone living in Discedo. I also believe that the Hollisland soldiers weren't aware of us either until they flew over the first time, but that's my own speculation.

Still, those people may not know Discedo was wiped out at one time if they have been isolated for a long while. They also could pose a threat to those staying near by, too.

All of that is good reasoning, but.. even if we'd send them a message, it's unlikely that they would respond or suddenly change their minds. After all, they would probably think we're infected and trying to mislead them by saying we're not as a way to get in.

That is very true.

But it wouldn't need to be anything more than communication.I wonder if they're curious about us as well.

So far it seems they've already made up their mind about us.
